Meet Mandy
Founder & CEO of Mandy Mair Media
I was born and raised in the Kansas City area, where my love for creativity and performance began at an early age. I attended Olathe Northwest High School, where I was involved in the Raven Dance Team, choir, band, and musical theater.
After high school, I began my college career at Kansas City Kansas Community College, where I joined the vocal jazz ensemble, The Standard. Although the COVID-19 pandemic unexpectedly cut my time with the group short, I was able to complete the recording process for a vocal jazz album, Coal and Diamonds, before continuing my education at Pittsburg State University.
While at Pittsburg State, I was involved in Alpha Sigma Alpha and various campus organizations. During this time, I had also been building a presence on social media as a bullet journaling art influencer. Through years of firsthand experience, experimentation, and a lot of trial and error, I grew my online following to nearly 20,000 people.
As I learned more about social media strategy and the ever-changing world of digital algorithms, I began combining my personal experience with my academic background in communication and marketing. That combination ultimately led to the creation of Mandy Mair Media. I realized that my experience growing an audience from the ground up gave me a unique perspective in the world of social media coaching, consulting, and digital marketing.
I completed my Bachelor of Science in Communication and minor in Marketing in just three years, graduating from Pittsburg State University with honors. After graduation, I packed up my small studio apartment, my golden retriever Ollie, and a U-Haul and made the move to New York City.
Today, I’m living out the dream I had carried with me for years. I’ve built a life and business in New York City, proving to myself that sometimes the biggest dreams require the biggest leaps. Through hard work, perseverance, and a willingness to take risks, I turned a longtime dream into reality, and I hope my story encourages others to believe in themselves and go after the things that are in their hearts, too.
